Bought a 2013 pre owned certified cc. Drove all the way down from Dallas and when I got the car home the clutch started to go (it would not reverse). I took the car right back down to Austin and Onion Creek Volkswagen gave me a brand-new loaner car and fixed the clutch free of charge because I had only had the car for about 48 hours when the clutch went out. This could have cost me $2,500! They could have left me with the bill because technically a clutch is never covered under a warranty. Instead they displayed the kind of class that is hard to find in a car dealer nowadays. As a result I will make the trip from Dallas to Austin again when I am ready to purchase my next used or new VW.
This would be 5 stars, because I'm very happy with the car I purchased, the salesman I worked with (Craig Harvey) was fantastic, and Raymond, who I believe is the maintenance coordinator is wonderful at well. (Bless him for dealing with my many questions) However the finance department is sorely lacking. Poor communication skills, and somehow forgot to get me to sign the title, and didn't realize this fact until 2 weeks after date of purchase, then proceeding to tell me my payment could be late because of their mistake. Not to mention with the finance manager called me, it took him several minutes to remember/look up why he called me in the first place, so I sat in silence for several minutes during my workday waiting for him to figure it out. Overall, everyone here is very polite. The building has a nice open concept.
I seriously LOVE this place so much! I came to flush my transmission, expecting to be bored. But everyone was SO SO FRIENDLY and honest and it turned out to be such an amazing experience. Especially Michelle at the coffee bar...this woman made this experience SO perfect. Not only is she amazing at her job, but she's one of the coolest people I've ever met. I literally hoped my car would take longer to fix just so we could hang out with her longer. Please please give this woman a raise. She is the highlight of this company. I recommend this location to anyone. They even took us to a restaurant so we could eat while they were fixing our car. While we were waiting for our repairs, we made friends with a couple of the employees, including Bruce, who's desk was right next to the coffee bar. He was freaking friendly as well, helped keep us company and had some good conversation, and I'll definitely be coming to see him when it's time to get my Jetta Hybrid dream car. :) :) I rarely write reviews but I was genuinely so passionate about this experience that I couldn't help it. Thank you Onion Creek VW! Did I mention Michelle is an amazing employee too? Best day ever!
My experience with Onion Creek Volkswagen was exceptional . . . I especially had the good fortune to be working with a Mr. Nathan Houser. Nathan was most helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. I would consider purchasing another vehicle with Onion Creek Volkswagen, strictly based on the opportunity to work with Nathan personally. Along with working with Nathan the entire process was 5 Stars! The overall friendliness of the Dealership, the Service facility, and the convenient location where also part of my decision to work with Onion Creek Volkswagen. Specially, Nathan and the Staff designed a purchase program that fitted my needs perfectly . . . Pat Patton, Austin, TX
We felt welcome, the dealer was immaculately kept, Michael Spencer was very pleasant and helped us with the vehicle that I had in mind without pushing for other vehicle that I might not be interested in. He was very receptive to my budget and provided outstanding service. The coffee bar was a nice touch - my espresso was excellent.
